Ramy founded MI Tax CPA in 2018 after gaining valuable experience at both small and Big Four firms. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for helping small and mid-sized businesses, he saw a growing need for an all-in-one package for personalized tax planning, bookkeeping and advisory services for businesses and high net-worth individuals. Ramy's primary focuses are advanced tax saving strategies, firm development, and driving firm growth through relationships and strategic planning.

Outside of work, Ramy enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing and traveling.

Manager

Velencia is a seasoned certified public accountant and possesses a master’s in taxation. She’s made a significant impact on the growth of our firm and demonstrates exceptional leadership skills. In addition to providing world-class accounting and tax advisory services to our clients, Velencia plays a big role in the training and development of our staff, optimizing processes, and keeping us up to date with the latest cutting-edge technology and tools in the industry. 

Outside of work, Velencia enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and traveling.

Senior Associate

Robert James is a senior accounting advisor, focusing on client accounting, tax, and advisory services. With over 15 years of high-level senior accounting and leadership positions, Robert brings his expertise and technical accounting skills, applying these best practices to support his clients. He helps clients understand their financial reporting so they can make well-informed decisions. 

Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending quality time with his family, exploring new destinations through travel, and unwinding with a good book.

Associate

Cooper served in the U.S. Army for six years before pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is now working towards obtaining his CPA license. Since transitioning into the accounting field, Cooper has spent the past year and a half specializing in small to mid-sized business tax and individual tax preparation and planning. Passionate about helping clients navigate complex tax matters, Cooper strives to provide personalized support that helps business owners and individuals achieve their financial goals. 

Outside of work, Cooper enjoys staying active through sports and fitness, and spending quality time with family.

Operations Manager

Renee brings more than 15 years of experience in administrative support and project management, working closely with C-suite executives across the insurance, information technology, and consulting industries. At MI Tax CPA, she is dedicated to driving operational efficiency and delivering exceptional client service.

Outside of work, Renee enjoys diving into a great book, weightlifting, boating, and making memories with her family.

Associate

Dette has been working in the accounting industry for over 9 years, specializing in bookkeeping for small to mid-sized businesses across various industries. With experience using modern, in-demand accounting software, she delivers accurate and efficient financial support tailored to each client’s needs.

Outside of work, Dette enjoys traveling, reading, and staying connected to nature. She is also actively involved in her Catholic ministry, finding balance through faith, service, and personal growth.
